Carnival hats for Trinidad and Tobago week with the 5-7 group
Picassos (the 5 to 7 years group at art camp) are focusing on Trinidad and Tobago for the week and they started off in carnival style with these amazing headdresses using silver card, feathers, painted handprints, sequins and buttons. Everyone looked fabulous as they came out to meet their parents at the end!
Summer scrap books and Olympics souvenirs
Having had a donation of a spiral binder, we enjoyed making books today with summer, Jamaica and Olympics themes. It's always great to make a book that can go home to be carried on. We never worry about pages matching or even being that straight! Books are books and can be a great way of recycling odd papers and including inspiring images. We all looked at Danny Gregory's 'Everyday Matters' for some brilliant inspiration.
Bob Marley mask making for Jamaica week!
To the reggae tunes of Bob Marley and the Wailers, the 8+ groups at art camp celebrated the start of our Jamaica week by using old calendars to make masks. Dancing around the room in these was hilarious!
