De Montfort hall saw over 300 children from 10 schools sing together in a concert to raise awareness of the Olympic Values. Partnering clusters of schools in Bulgaria and India they did an incredible job of providing a fantastic evening of entertainment.
My role was to collate artwork from the schools and display it in the foyer. I was so impressed with the work that was provided- mostly collaborative pieces which reflected the true nature of the event. I had run several workshops in the run up which also allowed groups of children to work together on several skills based projects.
Thanks to Amy Jones who helped enormously all day and right to the end!

Middle Eastern flags used as inspiration for kites!
As part of Rawlins' global curriculum we are hosting theme weeks across the year to raise awareness of all parts of the world.
Last week was the 'Middle East' and I ran two kite making workshops using coloured acetates (off cuts donated by Hawthorn Theatricals- thanks!!), sticks and embroidery silks. Through participation, conversation and resources we all learned so much about the countries and flags of the Middle East.
